Spiritual Maturity

"But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed."
James 1:22-25
The expression "Talk is Cheap" is still very true to this day and time. So many profess to be believers but their lives don't match their language nor does their walk match their talk! James challenges us to do something that we have all be challenged to do before and that is this; when we learn better, we should do better! It takes a mature individual to know that they need to make changes and make those changes for the Glory of God!

"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."

1st Corinthians 13:11

We as believers must learn that we should be constantly growing and maturing in our relationship with Christ. There is a sad reality that many people are only growing in age and not in Christ! Let's do better and behave as mature and growing Saints in Christ.
